They entered Monday night’s Game 4 matchup against the Miami Heat with a dominant 3-0 series lead. Not only would the Cavaliers advance, they blew the doors off the Heat, winning by 55 points (138-83).

In the series-clinching game, the Cavaliers made 22 3-pointers, bringing their series total to 77 made 3-pointers. This is tied for the most in a four-game playoff series in NBA history.

The NBA took to their official X account to make the historic announcement immediately following the game’s final buzzer.

The 2016 Cavaliers previously held sole possession of this record. Led by the trio of LeBron James, Kyrie Irving, and Kevin Love, the 2016 Cavaliers made 77 3-pointers in their Eastern Conference Semifinals matchup with the Atlanta Hawks.
