It’s been a tough start to the season for the Boston Celtics. Joe Mazzulla’s team stuttered to a 0-3 start before securing a much-needed win over a short-handed New Orleans Pelicans roster. And, while the Celtics have played with effort and intensity in every game, it’s clear that the talent drain over the summer has hit the rotation hard, especially in the front court, where the lack of depth and talent is a genuine concern.

Nevertheless, the Celtics must make do with what they’re working with. After all, there’s no single trade that could suddenly get the team back on track. In truth, it may take a year or two before Mazzulla is coaching a contending-level roster again. Of course, Jayson Tatum’s eventual return from an Achilles tendon tear will go a long way to bridging the current gap.

Boston’s decline will be a storyline all season long. A recent video from the “BSOLZ” YouTube channel should be a solid indication of what’s to come, as the popular YouTuber broke down the Celtics’ struggles before declaring that they’re one of the worst teams within the Eastern Conference, despite being among the league’s best rosters in recent years.
