What should we expect from the Boston Celtics home tilt vs. the Houston Rockets on Saturday (Nov. 1) night at TD Garden? Both ball clubs started the season with a key player injured (star forward Jayson Tatum in Boston’s case, and vet point guard Fred VanVleet for Houston’s) out of action for much if not all of the 2025-26 NBA regular season.

Both teams began their respective seasons with an unexpected losing streak (0-3 for the Celtics and 0-2 for the Rockets), and each of these teams are now on a win streak (three games for Boston, and two for Houston) to murk up our assessment of both squads. Houston has the clear advantage on the boards, But Boston is far and away better from beyond the arc. What do we know about how these teams match up, and who do we think will take this game?

The hosts of “Havlicek Stole the Pod” took some time on a recent episode of the show to sit down with Rockets Wire editor Ben DuBose. They also get into what got both teams where they are, what they could do to get better, their weird ties among coaches and stars, and plenty more. Check it out below!
