The Brooklyn Nets are sitting with an 0-5 record to begin the 2025-26 NBA season, but it seems that the team may have turned a corner in the loss to the Atlanta Hawks. Brooklyn has been dealing with some injuries to begin the season, especially to some of the rookies, but the good news is that they should getting most of their players back for their upcoming matchup.

The Nets announced on Saturday that rookie forward Danny Wolf will miss Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers due to a left ankle sprain that he suffered heading into the first game of the regular season. During shootaround in preparation for their season-opener at the Charlotte Hornets, Wolf suffered his ankle sprain, preventing him from making his regular-season debut with the team.

Forward Haywood Highsmith remains out as he continues to recover from right knee surgery in the offseason that he recently suffered a setback in his rehab that should push his debut to happening sometime in December. As of this writing, Highsmith will be out for the long-term and Wolf could return shortly from his ankle sprain that was initially labeled as day-to-day, but he won’t play against the 76ers on Sunday.

The good news for Brooklyn is that forward Ziaire Williams, who has been dealing with a lower back/glute injury, will be back in the lineup for the Nets after missing the past two games with the injury. Not only is Williams back for Brooklyn, but rookie forward Drake Powell is also available after missing some time with his right ankle sprain that he suffered in the season-opener at the Hornets.

With the Nets still looking for their first win of the season, it’s great news that they will have most of their roster available to go against guard Tyrese Maxey and the 76ers. Brooklyn could also be catching a break on Sunday as Philadelphia will be without center Joel Embiid, forward Paul George, or guard Jared McCain as each player is dealing with his respective injuries.
