The SMU Mustangs’ first spin through the ACC has gone about as well as Texas and OU’s inaugural season in the SEC. That is to say: mixed results.
SMU fell to Florida State in the final game of its regular season to cap off a 13-7 conference record, further dinging the Mustangs’ shot at an NCAA Tournament bid.
The sixth-seeded Mustangs will likely need to win the tournament to earn their first invite to March Madness since 2017.
