An eventful Memphis Grizzlies weekend will wrap up with a road game against the Toronto Raptors at Scotiabank Arena.
The Grizzlies (3-3) play the Raptors (2-4) on Nov. 2 (5 p.m. CT, FanDuel Sports Network Southeast).
The Grizzlies are coming off a 117-112 loss against the Los Angeles Lakers on Oct. 31. Most of the conversation after the game was less about the result and more about the comments made by star point guard Ja Morant.
A frustrated Morant made comments targeted at the Grizzlies’ coaching staff. As a result, the Grizzlies announced on Nov. 1 that Morant would be suspended one game for conduct detrimental to the team.
Javon Small, Cam Spencer and Vince Williams Jr. are among the players expected to receive more reps as primary playmakers in Morant’s absence.
The Raptors are coming off their best win of the season, defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers 112-101 on the road.
Toronto is led by a talented group of scorers. RJ Barrett, Brandon Ingram and Scottie Barnes are all averaging at least 19 points per game.
