The Milwaukee Bucks are relying on Giannis Antetokounmpo more than ever, and while that may not be a great long-term strategy, the Greek Freak should provide plenty of problems for the Toronto Raptors.
Giannis is coming off an incredible game-winning buzzer-beater to take down the Indiana Pacers last night, and my Bucks vs. Raptors predictions aren’t expecting the former two-time MVP to slow down, even in a back-to-back.

Bucks vs Raptors best bet: Bucks team total Over 117.5 (-115)
The Milwaukee Bucks and Toronto Raptors will play for the second time this season. And, as is the case with most of the NBA, the Raps couldn’t contain Giannis Antetokounmpo, who went off for 31 points, 20 rebounds, and seven assists in a 122-116 Bucks win on October 24.

Since then, the Bucks have been on a bit of a roller coaster, relying mostly on their offense while going 3-2 straight up and against the spread, including Giannis’ epic buzzer beater last night.
Meanwhile, the Raptors have struggled on the defensive end of the floor and have benefited from teams not playing their stars in back-to-back wins over the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Memphis Grizzlies.
I’m betting that’s not the case with Giannis tonight, which has me a little bit surprised when I see the spread has the Raps as 4.5-point favorites.
The spread tells me oddsmakers don’t believe Giannis will play, but he’s been one of the few NBA superstars who hasn’t acknowledged the term “load management.”

Antetokounmpo played in 11 back-to-backs last season, scoring a meager 31.7 points per game in those contests. (The guy is incredible.)
So, I expect him on the court to lead a Bucks team that ranks fourth in the NBA in offensive rating, going up against a Raptors team that ranks 25th in defensive rating. Milwaukee’s team total is 117.5, and that’s just too low for this matchup. It’s a number the Bucks have cleared in all but two of their seven games this season, and they still scored 117 in one of those misses.

The Raptors have struggled on the glass, entering with the fifth-worst rebounding rate in the NBA, and ranking 18th in opponent rebounds per game.

Giannis continues to be a, um, freak on the boards, averaging 13.4 rebounds per game and has topped this number in three of his five games played this season, including going for 20 the last time he faced the Raps.
On the other side, Brandon Ingram has looked impressive, averaging 22.3 points while shooting nearly 40% from 3-point range with 5.9 rebounds and 3.9 assists per game this season.
Ingram has hit five or more assists in two of his last four games, and the Raptors will know that moving the ball against the tired Bucks team will be the best way to get some easy buckets tonight.
