Michael Scotto of HoopsHype joined The Allen Stiles Show on Tuesday to discuss the Sacramento Kings signing free agent Precious Achiuwa, waiving Isaac Jones to do so, other ongoing rumors, and more.

With Achiuwa being available for teams to pick up all season (and offseason), the guys started by diving into why he had remained on the free agent market.

“Happy to see him back,” Scotto said. “I think he is certainly deserving of a spot. A lot of it is just about finances, mostly.”

Plus, will Isaac Jones find another home quickly or have to go back to a two-way deal? And is there fire to the smoke surrounding the Sacramento Kings and disgruntled Memphis Grizzlies point guard Ja Morant?

One day removed from being linked to one another, the Sacramento Kings have reached an agreement with free agent center Precious Achiuwa, a veteran big man who most recently played for the New York Knicks during the 2024-25 season.

ESPN’s Shams Charania was the first to report the agreement between Sacramento and Achiuwa. To make room for Achiuwa on the roster, the Kings have waived second-year forward Isaac Jones.

Achiuwa, 26, has been a solid rebounder throughout his five-year career, which aligns with the Kings’ interests.

Sacramento enters play on Monday ranked dead last among all NBA teams in rebounds per game as it navigates the opening month without starting forward Keegan Murray (wrist surgery recovery).
