Top DFS Pick
PG Tyrese Maxey, Philadelphia 76ers at Cleveland Cavaliers, $10,000
I said yesterday that Maxey was a must-play until his salary reached $10,000. Well, I’m here today to say that he’s still a must-play. For the fifth time in his seven starts this season, Maxey exceeded 60 FPTS on Tuesday against the Bulls, registering 39 points, five rebounds, five assists and three blocks. With the performance, Maxey is now averaging 34.4 points per contest — the highest mark in the NBA. He also leads the league in minutes per game (42.0) because, well, Nick Nurse is his head coach. That’s my way of saying that you probably don’t have to fear Maxey being held back at all on the second leg of a back-to-back set — especially with Joel Embiid (injury recovery) resting. With Embiid off the floor in 2025-26, Maxey leads the 76ers in usage rate (31.3%) and he produces 1.34 FPTS per minute. He simply carries a gargantuan DFS ceiling.
Top Value Pick
PF Jarace Walker, Indiana Pacers vs. Brooklyn Nets, $5,800
Remember Jarace Walker? The one-time eighth-overall pick in the Draft that’s been buried on the Pacers’ bench the past two seasons? Well, with injuries continuing to mount for Indiana — Quenton Jackson (hamstring) and Johnny Furphy (ankle) will now both miss tonight’s contest after playing on Monday — Walker is starting to get some serious run in his third year in the league. Heck, Walker led the Pacers in minutes in their last second loss to Milwaukee (38.2), finishing the game with 18 points, eight rebounds, five assists and 35.5 FPTS. That came less than a week after Walker set a new career-high in points against the Mavericks (20). I have a feeling that career-high could be in jeopardy on Wednesday. The Nets have hemorrhaged points to opponents so far this season, surrendering a league-worst 128.5 points per 100 possessions. If Walker sees over 35 minutes, he’s a threat for 7x or 8x value.
