GEORGIA — Things got chippy during the Hawks 127-112 win over the Orlando Magic at State Farm Arena Tuesday night. The Magic’s Desmond Bane flagrantly fouled Onyeka Okongwu in the third quarter. The star guard then spiked the ball into the head of the Hawks forward.
Okongwu’s teammates came to his defense and Magic players escorted Bane to his team’s bench. Bane received a technical foul and was ejected from the game. Afterwards, he defended his actions and said he was giving a hard foul.
The win improved the Hawks record to 4-4. They host the Raptors on Friday.
