Guard

Stud

Josh Giddey, Chicago Bulls at Milwaukee Bucks ($9,300): Giddey has certainly leveled up this season. He’s put up at least 40 FPTS in all but one game this season but, over the last three games, he’s gone for over 60 FPTS in all with a high of 70.8 FPTS. He’s triple-doubled in each of the last two games and missed four in a row by an assist and two rebounds. After having a usage rate in the 23% range for most of his career, that number is at 28.2% this season. These teams are 10th and 13th in pace while Milwaukee is 20th in defensive rating. Chicago has been one of the best defensive teams in the league, but you know that Giannis is going to put up points and keep the Bucks competitive at home.

Other Options: Cade Cunningham ($10,400), LaMelo Ball ($9,800) if he plays, Donovan Mitchell ($9,000), Keyonte George ($7,300), Dyson Daniels ($7,100), RJ Barrett ($6,900), Cooper Flagg ($6,900), Donte DiVincenzo ($6,500), Jaime Jaquez Jr. ($6,300), Nickeil Alexander-Walker ($6,100)

Value

Tyrese Martin, Brooklyn Nets vs. Detroit Pistons ($4,000): After Cam Thomas went down with an injury on Wednesday, it was Martin who subbed in for him and played 27 minutes, contributing 16 points, five rebounds, two assists and a steal. Jordi Fernandez does have plenty of options on the wing to enter the starting lineup for Thomas, so there’s uncertainty as to how his rotations will play out. I think Martin starts but, even if he doesn’t, he should play well over 20 minutes. Martin has put up at least 19 FPTS in five contests with a high of 28.8 FPTS.

Other Options: Kon Knueppel ($5,800), Cedric Coward ($5,500), Davion Mitchell ($5,500), Jaylon Tyson ($4,900), Max Christie ($4,800), Craig Porter Jr. ($3,900), Cam Spencer ($3,500)

Forward

Stud

Michael Porter Jr., Brooklyn Nets vs. Detroit Pistons ($7,000): Porter Jr. put up over 40 FPTS in two games before a personal issue kept him out on Monday, so he was getting comfortable. On Wednesday, with Thomas only playing six minutes due to injury, Porter Jr. went for 53.2 FPTS with a season-high 35.3% usage rate. Thomas has been ruled out for this one, so Porter Jr. is going to huck and chuck and blow the house down. Bricks be damned.

Other Options: Giannis Antetokounmpo ($11,600), Paolo Banchero ($9,400), Evan Mobley ($8,900), Jalen Johnson ($8,800), Julius Randle ($8,500), Scottie Barnes ($8,300), Brandon Ingram ($7,500), Andrew Wiggins ($6,900), Jaime Jaquez Jr. ($6,300), Nickeil Alexander-Walker ($6,100)

Value

Noah Clowney, Brooklyn Nets vs. Detroit Pistons ($3,900): Clowney has intrigued and flashed at various points in his career. He’s 6-foot-10, 210 pounds, can make it rain from downtown and be a menace on the defensive end. He’s just never put it all together yet and earned consistent playing time. Well, two games ago, Jordi Fernandez inserted him into the starting lineup to create a jumbo lineup, and Clowney responded by averaging 16 points, five rebounds, an assist, a steal and three treys in 31 mpg. That was good for 29 and 23 FPTS. He should continue starting, especially with Thomas out.

Other Options: Kon Knueppel ($5,800), Isaiah Stewart ($5,700), Cedric Coward ($5,500), Tari Eason ($5,000), Jaylon Tyson ($4,900), Max Christie ($4,800), Josh Minott ($4,800)

Center

Stud

Alperen Sengun, Houston Rockets at San Antonio Spurs ($9,500): Earlier in the season, I was on the brink of giving Victor Wembanyama the Nikola Jokic treatment, in that if he was ever on the slate, it would be an auto-click, but I refrained because I needed to see more consistency first. Well, Phoenix stymied him to 30.8 FPTS two games ago then the Lakers held him to 35 FPTS. If there’s a team that can limit Wembanyama, it’s Houston. Therefore, while Wembanyama has the higher ceiling, I’m going to go with the floor/ceiling combo of Sengun. He’s a triple-double threat and has been stuffing the stat sheet all season. He’s gone for at least 40 FPTS in all but one game, with three over 50 and a high of 71.2 FPTS.

Other Options: Victor Wembanyama ($12,300), Nikola Vucevic ($8,000), Jalen Duren ($7,500), Jusuf Nurkic ($6,300), Jarrett Allen ($6,300)

Value

Kel’el Ware, Miami Heat vs. Charlotte Hornets ($5,600): Ware has been in Eric Spoelstra’s doghouse since the summer. As a result, he’s been playing only 20 minutes per game, but Bam Adebayo injured his toe and has been ruled out for this one. This gives Ware an opportunity to get out of that doghouse. On Wednesday, Ware played 27 minutes, tied for his season-high, and put up 13 points, 13 rebounds, a block and four steals, good for 41.2 FPTS.

Other Options: Nic Claxton ($6,000), Isaiah Stewart ($5,700), Wendell Carter Jr. ($5,500), Ryan Kalkbrenner ($5,300), Daniel Gafford ($5,000), Neemias Queta ($4,700), Moussa Diabate ($4,500), Noah Clowney ($3,900)
