Hall signed with Auburn as a transfer while testing the NBA draft waters. What did he decide?

Keyshawn Hall tells me that he will no longer go through the NBA Draft process and will instead focus on the 2025-26 season at Auburn.

The 6-7 Hall averaged 18.8 PPG and 7.1 RPG last season at UCF.

Auburn basketball recently landed forward Keyshawn Hall from the transfer portal with the thought of him potentially never playing a second in orange and blue.

However, head coach Bruce Pearl received great news Tuesday as Hall has decided to back off the NBA draft process and will play for Auburn for the 2025-26 season, according to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports. Now that Hall has made his choice, attention turns to guard Tahaad Pettiford, who is also testing the NBA waters, to make his final decision.

Hall joins Auburn’s roster following a strong season at UCF that saw him score a Big 12-leading 18.8 points and haul in 7.1 rebounds, which ranked No. 9 in the conference. He reached double figures in points 29 times last year, and scored 20 or more points in 16 games. He scored a season-high 40 points in UCF’s win over Arizona State and scored 34 points in a game against Kansas.

Hall will play a major role in Auburn’s frontcourt rebuild. A unit depleted by the departure of Johni Broome, Dylan Cardwell, and Chaney Johnson will be filled by Hall, Mississippi State transfer Keshawn Murphy, and JUCO center Emeka Opurum. Pearl says that he hopes to add one more center to round out what should be a stellar rotation at forward and center.
