As expected, Joel Embiid will sit on Sunday when the Sixers play host to the Detroit Pistons in the second leg of their weekend back-to-back. Embiid totaled season-highs in minutes and points in Saturday’s win over the Toronto Raptors. Meanwhile, after being available but not appearing in that game, Jared McCain will once again be available on Sunday:

The Sixers have an injury report for tonight’s game vs. Detroit:

Joel Embiid (knee injury recovery): OUT

Paul George (knee surgery recovery): OUT

Dominick Barlow (elbow laceration): OUT

Johni Broome (ankle sprain): OUT

Jared McCain is AVAILABLE after not playing on Saturday.

Paul George (knee) is expected to have a meeting with doctors in the coming days, which Sixers head coach Nick Nurse described as possibly the “last hurdle” before the nine-time All-Star makes his season debut. Dominick Barlow (elbow) is seeing his surgeon on Monday to identify the next steps in his recovery from a laceration which has held him out far longer than anyone could have expected.

Johni Broome, it appears, sprained his ankle making his debut in the G League on Saturday afternoon for the Delaware Blue Coats. The rookie big had been set to play a double-header, but was ruled out for Sixers-Raptors with the ankle issue shortly after being recalled.
