Detroit Pistons’ Cade Cunningham is introduced during home opener

Cade Cunningham is introduced to the LCA crowd for the 2025-26 NBA season as the Pistons play their home opener against the Boston Celtics.

The Detroit Pistons are on a hot streak, and their star is getting a well-deserved award as a result.

Pistons guard Cade Cunningham was named the NBA’s Eastern Conference Player of the Week on Monday, Nov. 10, as he averaged 31 points on 54.7% shooting, 9.8 assists, 3.3 rebounds and 37.3 minutes per game across a 4-0 week for the Pistons.

It’s the second time Cunningham has received the award, the first time occurring on Dec. 23, 2024 – also the last time a Piston has been named player of the week.

Cunningham scored a season-high 31 points while adding 10 assists in the Pistons’ 125-107 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on Friday. Two days later, he recorded another 20-point double-double, putting up 26 points and 11 assists in a 111-108 comeback win over the Philadelphia 76ers.

He has six 20-point double-doubles this season, behind only Denver Nuggets three-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokić (seven).

At 8-2, the Pistons are currently No. 1 in the Eastern Conference, off to their best 10-game start since 2005. The Pistons host the Washington Wizards on Monday night.
