SALT LAKE CITY – Big 12 basketball enters week two of the 2025-26 season.

There’s already some movement near the top of the weekly power rankings.

After an impressive win over Florida in Las Vegas last week, Arizona is a big riser in this week’s power ranking. Freshman Koa Peat dazzled in his debut with 30 points over the defending national champions.

A team that took a tumble in the rankings this week is Kansas.

The Jayhawks played a true road game at North Carolina, which is appreciated because those types of games are few and far between these days. But aside from Darryn Peterson, there wasn’t much firepower from the Jayhawks, who had a 10-point lead. They allowed North Carolina to go on multiple big runs in the second half, which led to a 13-point defeat.

BYU put together a big win on opening night against Villanova, 71-66, in a game that was AJ Dybantsa’s debut. The heralded freshman earned a starting five nod for his strong performances in week one of the season.

Texas Tech’s Christian Anderson put up 34 points on opening night against Lindenwood. Another star guard in the league, veteran Tamin Lipsey at Iowa State, averaged five rebounds, five steals, and five assists per game in the first week after working his way back from an injury.

Cincinnati’s Baba Miller, one of the most intriguing talents in the Transfer Portal out of Florida Atlantic, was impressive for the Bearcats, averaging 21 points and 10.5 rebounds in the first week.

Every Monday during the college hoops season, KSL Sports will give you weekly power rankings on Big 12 basketball.
