Jamal Murray and Aaron Gordon were both out of action on Saturday as the Denver Nuggets defeated the Indiana Pacers, 117-100, marking their fourth consecutive win. Murray was ruled out due to a calf issue, while Gordon missed the game because of a hamstring problem.
Nikola Jokic led the charge for the undermanned Nuggets in the second night of a back-to-back set. The three-time NBA MVP dropped a massive 32-point, 14-rebound, 14-assist triple-double on 10-of-14 shooting as Denver cruised to victory against a shorthanded Indiana side. With that win, the Nuggets improved to 7-2, continuing their hot start to the new NBA season.

The Nuggets are back in action on Tuesday after a two-day break for another back-to-back set. Both games will be road matchups for Denver, as they face the Sacramento Kings on Tuesday before taking on the Los Angeles Clippers on Wednesday.
The Nuggets have provided their injury list for Tuesday’s contest in Sacramento, and the team took the opportunity to announce the status of both Murray and Gordon. The good news for Denver fans is that both stars have been listed as probable to play, per the official NBA injury report.

It appears that both Murray and Gordon will be back after a one-game absence. Neither injuries seem concerning, and it’s possible that the Nuggets simply decided to give them the night off on Saturday on the second night of a back-to-back set.
It is worth noting, though, that Denver will play twice in two nights again, so Murray and Gordon’s status should be worth monitoring, particularly for Wednesday’s matchup against the Clippers.
Murray, who is now in his 10th season with the Nuggets, is averaging 22.8 points, 5.3 rebounds, 5.6 assists, 1.3 steals and 2.4 triples per game. Gordon, on the other hand, is putting up 20.1 points, 5.4 rebounds, 1.6 assists and 2.4 treys per contest.
