To close out the upcoming slate of six NBA games, the Denver Nuggets will host the Sacramento Kings. The Nuggets are 7-2 to start the season, while the Kings are just 3-7.

Let’s check out this early Wednesday morning edition of the NBA in more detail below.

Kings vs Nuggets best bets

Heading into this game, the Nuggets are not only 7-2, but they’ve won four straight and are undefeated at home with a 6-0 record. They’re second in points (124.2) and first in assists (30.9) per game, while shooting 50.7 from the field (second-highest) and 85.4% on free-throw tries (second-highest).

They’re also one of the best defensive units in the league with a 108.1 defensive rating (second-highest). For the Nuggets, the big storyline is whether Aaron Gordon and/or Jamal Murray will be available to play. Murray is expected to suit up despite a calf injury, whereas Gordon is probable with a hamstring injury.

Looking at the Kings, in addition to a 3-7 record, they’ve lost their last two and are just 1-4 on the road. They’re second in pull-up points per game (28.2), but allow 123.9 points per game (third-most). The Kings could be without Domantas Sabonis, who’s questionable with a ribcage contusion.

Kings vs Nuggets preview

This is going to be a tough game for the Kings to overcome. Their only chance at covering in this game is if, somehow, Murray and Gordon both miss the game.

That said, the Nuggets are dominant at home and simply one of the best teams in the NBA. They average a league-high 124.2 points per game, while the Kings allow 123.9 points per game. Over their last three games, that number has increased to 130.7 points per game.

Further, the Kings allow opponents to shoot 60.2% on 2-point shots, and the Nuggets are shooting—coincidentally—60.2% on 2-point shots.

This is going to be a double-digit win by the Nuggets.

SpreadOddsSacramento Kings +8.510/11Denver Nuggets -8.59/10Total pointsOddsOver 24222/25Under 24210/11

This spread makes sense. The Nuggets have been excellent at home and one of the best offences and defences in the NBA. Meanwhile, the Kings have struggled this season, allowing over 130 points per game in their last three.

Nikola Jokic 25+ points

This season, Jokic is averaging 25.2 points per game and has had 25 or more in each of his last four games. He’s shooting 76.8% on 2-point shots, and this season, opponents are shooting 60.2% from 2-point range against the Kings. Additionally, as mentioned, the Kings are allowing over 130 points per game over their last three.

Look for Jokic to have a massive game and close to 30 points in this one.

🏀 Back Nikola Jokic to score 25 points or more against the Kings at 1/2 odds with Paddy Power 🏀

Jonas Valanciunas 4+ rebounds

Playing just 12.6 minutes per game, Valanciunas is still averaging 4.8 rebounds per game. Now, he’s taking on a Kings team that allows 53.1 rebounds per game, which is middle of the pack in the NBA.

All other players above Valanciunas in rebounds per game are playing, at a minimum, 29.5 minutes per game. Even if Gordon suits up, he’s still dealing with somewhat of a hamstring injury, so that could hamper his rebound production.

Valanciunas has had four rebounds or more in each of his last three games, and he’ll reach four again in this one.

🏀 Bet on Jonas Valanciunas to have over 4.5 rebounds against the Kings at 5/7 with bet365 🏀

Domantas Sabonis 10+ points

We’ve looked at two nuggets players, so now let’s see where we can highlight the Kings.

The odds are massively in his favour, but I’ll take Sabonis, who is on the injury report, to score 10 points or more. He’s done it in every game this season, and the Nuggets do allow opponents to shoot 53.6% on 2-point shots, which makes up almost all of Sabonis’ field goal attempts.

The 53.6% is the 12th-lowest rate in the NBA, but the Nuggets are far better against 3-point shots, holding opponents close to 30%.

Sabonis will continue to score at least 10, barring injury.

🏀 Back Domantas Sabonis to have 10 or more points against the Nuggets at 2/17 with bet365 🏀
