The Raptors come in playing well, having won four of their last five games, though they dropped their most recent contest to the Philadelphia 76ers after leading 43–33 at the end of the first quarter.
Toronto’s offense is fast-paced and can be explosive, led by their frontcourt of Brandon Ingram, RJ Barrett, and Scottie Barnes, all of whom are averaging around 20 points per game. Immanuel Quickley adds 14.4 points and 6.3 assists, and the Raptors move the ball well — ranking top four in assists per game (29.7). They’re also top 10 in pace (102.50).
But as productive as their frontcourt is offensively, they are undersized, which leads to mismatches on defense. The Raptors’ defense remains a concern.
Still, they should face little resistance tonight against a Brooklyn defense that is the worst in the league. The Nets are also without their second-leading scorer, Cam Thomas (21.4 PPG), who is out until December with a hamstring strain.
