Stop us if you’ve heard this one before: The Boston Celtics will share the floor with the Philadelphia 76ers on Tuesday night.

It’s been a familiar meeting this year, as it’s now the third Celtics-Sixers game of the young season.

The Celtics enter at 5-6, while the Sixers are 6-4. Just like when these two teams met on Halloween, the Celtics have the chance to get to .500 with a win.

The Sixers will be shorthanded, as Joel Embiid is out due to knee soreness. Embiid was largely a non-factor on opening night, when he scored four points and grabbed six rebounds in 20 minutes against Boston, but he’s averaged 22.8 points per night in the six games he’s played since.

While Tyrese Maxey leads the way with 33.2 points per night, the Sixers may look to rookie VJ Edgecombe to make up for some of the scoring lost from Embiid’s absence. Edgecombe torched the Celtics for 34 points in his NBA debut and scored a more modest 17 points in the rematch on Oct. 31.
