In Monday’s loss to the Suns, Trey Murphy III led the way for the Pelicans as he recorded 21 points, 10 rebounds and four assists while Saddiq Bey added 15 points and seven rebounds of his own.

Now New Orleans will try to bounce back on Wednesday night as they seek their third victory of the season in a tough matchup against the Trail Blazers.

On the other side, Portland enters Wednesday’s contest with a 5-5 record after losing to the Orland Magic on the road on Monday night.

Portland has ruled out Scoot Henderson due to a left hamstring tear that has sidelined him to begin the season.

The Trail Blazers have also ruled out Blaker Wesley due to a right foot fracture and Matisse Thybulle due to a left thumb injury while Damian Lillard remains sidelined as he continues to recover from a torn Achilles.

On the other side, the Pelicans have three players listed on their injury report, including both Zion Williamson and Jordan Poole.

New Orleans has ruled out Williamson due to a left hamstring strain as he will miss his fifth consecutive game.

With Williamson sidelined, Bey, Derik Queen and Karlo Matkovic could all have increased roles once again.

The Pelicans have also ruled out Poole for Monday’s game due to a left quad strain that has caused him to miss three consecutive games.

With Poole sidelined, Jose Alvarado and Jordan Hawkins will likely continue to have an increased role for the Pelicans.

New Orleans has also ruled out Dejounte Murray as he remains sidelined due to recovery from a torn Achilles he suffered last season.
