Suns’ Grayson Allen reflects on his career-high scoring game

Grayson Allen scored a career-high 42 points, hitting 10 shots from 3, in the Phoenix Suns’ victory over the New Orleans Pelicans on Nov. 10, 2025.

Phoenix Suns star guard Devin Booker has always been one to give back to fans.

Whether it is hiding pairs of Nike Book 1s around Paris during a Gold medal-winning run at the Olympics or showing love to fans at games, Booker is a fan favorite for reasons other than only performance on the court.

During the Suns’ 123-114 win over the Dallas Mavericks on Wednesday, Nov. 12, momentum sent Booker trotting out of bounds after being fouled by Mavericks guard Max Christie. When he was on his way back, he made sure to give a high-five and a little embrace to a young Suns fan. The fan was even repping Booker’s jersey at American Airlines Center, the Mavericks’ home court.

The two-time All-NBA selection has made lots of fans in his career, as he led the Suns to an NBA Finals appearance in the 2020-21 season and was a candidate for NBA’s Most Valuable Player in the 2021-22 season. Booker showing support to this fan was appreciated too, as the moment even garnered lots of positive attention online:

Booker is putting himself in position to make even more fans this season, as he is currently averaging 28.2 points per game while shooting 49.6% from the field. Both those marks are career highs. Booker has led the team to a 7-5 record entering the Nov. 13 home game against Indiana. Phoenix is seventh in the Western Conference, despite Jalen Green only having played one full game this season.

In the one full game Green played on the court with Booker this year, he took 20 shots and scored 29 points. That is even more than Booker’s average of 19.3 shots taken per game this season. The two were supposed to share offense initiation and on-ball scoring duties this season, but Booker has had to shoulder the load without Green on the floor after reinjuring his right hamstring. He’ll be out at least a month, the team said.

It has not slowed him down, and he has even been able to share these strong early-season performances with the fans, even in opposing stadiums. Booker scored 29 points to go along with nine assists and two steals on the day. Typical of Booker, he also scored an unforgettable moment for a young fan.
