Lakers’ LeBron James decision

The Lakers have a tough decision when it comes to integrating LeBron James back into what they’re doing.

The New York Knicks (7-4) will look to get back on track as they conclude a seven-game homestand tonight with an Eastern Conference matchup versus the Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden.

The Knicks five-game winning streak and undefeated mark at home came to an end last time out, as the Magic were in control from start to finish in a 124-107 victory on Wednesday night at MSG.

The more concerning part for the Knicks is the status of All-Star point guard Jalen Brunson — who still was in the game despite Orlando being up double digits with less than two minutes remaining — drove to the basket and inadvertently stepped on Magic center Wendell Carter’s foot, causing him to land awkwardly on his right leg after going up for a layup.

Brunson was seen after the game leaving MSG wearing a walking boot and crutches.

Knicks head coach Mike Brown added after the game that the two-time All-NBA guard turned his right ankle but “that’s all I know.”

This certainly brings Brunson’s availability for tonight’s contest in question as they don’t want to rush the 29-year-old back on the floor less than 48 hours after the incident.

If it’s not a multi-week or long-term injury, Brunson could return sometime during the team’s upcoming five-game road trip, which starts against the Heat in South Beach on Monday, Nov. 17.
