Zach Thompson details his best player prop bets on DraftKings Sportsbook for tonight’s game between the Heat and the Knicks.

The NBA continues group play in the Emirates NBA Cup this Friday with nine games on the schedule and no teams on the second night of a back-to-back. Prime Video has a nice doubleheader lined up, which starts at 7:00 p.m. ET when the New York Knicks welcome in the Miami Heat to Madison Square Garden.

Both teams lost on Wednesday night, but the Knicks also lost Jalen Brunson (ankle) to an injury. The loss to the Magic was the Knicks’ first home defeat of the season and dropped them to 7-4 on the year. The Heat are 7-5 overall, and 2-4 in their six road games.

On DraftKings Sportsbook, the Knicks are 5.5-point home favorites, with the game total set at 238.5 points. In addition to the main game line, DraftKings Sportsbook has a host of player prop bets for Friday night’s matchup. In this post, I’ll take a look at a few of my favorites.

Let’s dive in.

Heat vs. Knicks Best Prop Bets on DraftKings Sportsbook

OG Anunoby Over 30+ Points + Rebounds + Assists (+115)

Brunson has played every game this season for the Knicks, but last year, in the 15 games Anunoby played without Brunson, he averaged 23.1 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.5 assists, giving him an average of 30.8 PRA in those contests. He’s averaging 25.3 PRA this season on 17.1 points, 5.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists.

Anunoby struggled on Wednesday with just eight points, four rebounds and one assist in 34 minutes against the Magic, but he hit for 30 PRA last Sunday against the Nets and 34 PRA against the Timberwolves last Wednesday, meaning he’s already gone over this number in two of his last four games even with Brunson soaking up all his usual minutes and usage.

With Brunson off the court this season, Anunoby’s usage jumps over five percentage points to 24.9% from its season-long level of 19.7%. He has a good shot of getting to at least 30 PRA in this matchup against the Heat in a high-scoring environment.

Kel’el Ware over 23.5 Points + Rebounds (-104)

On the other side of the matchup, the Heat will be without Bam Adebayo for a fifth straight game, although he is traveling with the team and not expected to be out long-term.

In the five games he has missed, Ware has stepped up and produced at least 24 points plus rebounds three times. He had 13 points and 13 boards against the Nuggets, 13 points and 20 boards against the Cavs, and 15 points and 13 rebounds against Cleveland in a rematch on Wednesday. His two down games during that span were against the Hornets and Blazers.

Since the Knicks typically play big with Karl-Anthony Towns and Mitchell Robinson, Ware should get plenty of  minutes and the chance for plenty of points and rebounds.

Nikola Jovic under 10.5 points (-114)

Jovic had a huge game with 29 points last Saturday against the Trail Blazers, going well over this prop line. However, he’s been under this prop in 10 of his 12 games this season (83%). He fell back to Earth with eight points against the Cavs Monday and just two points in the rematch on Wednesday.

While Adebayo is out, the rest of the Heat’s regular rotation should be in place, especially on the wings. That likely leaves Jovic in a limited role again on Friday. He played 25 minutes against the Knicks in the teams’ first meeting this season, but only scored six points. His big game is one of the factors that caused Ware’s reduced role in that contest, so if Ware plays his typical allotment of minutes and goes over his points and rebounds total, as laid out in my previous pick, this prop has some nice correlation.
