The Indiana Pacers (1-10) face the Phoenix Suns (7-5) Thursday. Tip-off from Mortgage Matchup Center in Phoenix Arizona, is set for 9 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Pacers vs. Suns odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.
2024-25 season series: Pacers won 2-0
The Pacers are a dumpster fire with so many players in and out of the lineup due to injuries. They were 2-point favorites at the Utah Jazz Tuesday and lost 152-128. The Jazz were on the back end of a back-to-back. F Pascal Siakam had a team-high 27 points. G T.J. McConnell returned from a hamstring injury and scored 12 points in 11 minutes. Their 1-10 start matches the 1988-89 team for the worst start in franchise history.
The Suns have won 4 straight and 6 of 7 after a 123-114 victory over the Dallas Mavericks Wednesday as 2-point favorites. G Devin Booker led the way with 26 points and 9 assists. He’s averaging a career-high 28.2 points per game (PPG). The development of G Grayson Allen has been huge, too. He’s averaging a career-high 19.0 PPG and drilling 4.2 threes per game. His best season from beyond the arc was 2023-24, where he was 2.7-for-5.9 from downtown per game for 46.1%. This year, he’s 4.2-for-9.3 per game for 44.6%.

Pacers at Suns picks and predictionsPrediction
Suns 111, Pacers 101
Look, I expect Indiana to respond after being embarrassed in Utah, and Phoenix is on a back-to-back. I just can’t bring myself to take this team at anything below +250.
Instead, give me GRAYSON ALLEN OVER 3.5 THREES (+100). He has drilled 4+ threes in 6 straight games and shot 31-for-58 (53.4%) during the stretch. The Pacers’ perimeter defense is really lacking with Haliburton and Mathurin out.
The Suns are 7-1 ATS over the last 8 games. The Pacers have lost 5 straight and covered in only 1 of them. It’s a little risky to lay 4.5 on the Suns’ back-to-back, but go SUNS -4.5 (-110).
The Pacers are 2-8 O/U in their last 10. That’s kind of incredible considering they allowed a bad team to drop 152 last time out. The Suns snapped a 4-game Under streak hitting an Over Tuesday. They’re 4-6 O/U in the last 10. I’ll take UNDER 232.5 (-105).
