Suns’ Dillon Brooks shares the last time he lacked confidence

Dillon Brooks scored a season-high 32 points in just 28 minutes in the Phoenix Suns’ win against the Indiana Pacers on Nov. 13, 2025.

Phoenix Suns guard Grayson Allen is “day-to-day” ahead of the Nov. 16 game against the Atlanta Hawks, head coach Jordan Ott said.

Allen missed the second half of Thursday’s 133-98 win over the Indiana Pacers with a right quad contusion.

“We’ll continue to see how he gets out of this,” Ott said, after practice on Saturday, Nov. 15. “Stick to day-to-day. We just walked through a lot today. Nothing up and down, nothing live. Good to have these two days in between. We need it. It doesn’t seem too bad.”

The Suns (8-5) are 7-1 in their last eight games and riding a five-game winning streak while the Hawks (8-5) have won their last four games.

“Good team, good team, playing fast,” Suns guard Jordan Goodwin said after Saturday’s practice about the Hawks. “Definitely going to be a good matchup for us.”

Atlanta is 5-1 in its last six games without Trae Young, who has been out since Oct. 29 with an MCL sprain to his right knee. The Hawks are 6-2 on the road this season.

“They’re high energy athletes,” Ott said. “Multiple guys who can dribble, pass and shoot. Puts you in a lot of different disadvantages on their offensive end. Defensively, they’re big. They force turnovers. Coming in playing well.”

Allen took a knee from Pacers big Jay Huff after making a crosscourt pass on the baseline to Collin Gillespie for a 3-pointer that put Phoenix ahead, 42-27, in the second quarter.

Allen limped back down the court and later checked out with 8:15 left in the half and never returned to the game. He scored 12 points on 5-of-6 shooting in 12 minutes. Averaging a career-high 18.5 points in his third season with the Suns, Allen has started all 13 Phoenix games this season.

Suns big Mark Williams sat out the second of a back-to-back Thursday with right knee injury management. He has yet to play in the second of a back-to-back this season. Williams is averaging 11.7 points and 8.8 rebounds in his first season in Phoenix.

“We haven’t had any setbacks,” Ott said. “So that part has been good. He feels good. He’s in a great place. He continues to progress. Again, this is 82 games. We’re early into this. Didn’t do a ton on the court in the preseason. So we’re still early into this whole plan, but it’s been great. Again, it gets back to how he’s feeling and his input into all of this that has been really positive for us.”

Jalen Green remains out with a right hamstring strain and he’ll be re-evaluated in four to six weeks.
