Sacramento Kings guard Russell Westbrook was linked to the Boston Celtics in September before signing in California’s capital city.

The nine-time All-Star and former MVP passed two Celtics legends on the NBA’s career scoring list on Sunday, moving ahead of Hall of Famers John Havlicek and Paul Pierce.

“Congrats to @russwest44 of the @SacramentoKings for moving up to 18th on the all-time SCORING list!” the NBA’s official account posted on X.

In a separate Sunday night contest, Pierce saw Golden State Warriors shooting guard Buddy Hield pass him on the league’s all-time three-point field goals list.
