Harper’s Bazaar Singapore feat. Kyle Kuzma.

The magazine conducted a sweeping interview with the Milwaukee Bucks player while he was in Milan for the Bottega Veneta fashion show held during Spring/Summer 2026 Fashion Week in September.

The feature, published online Nov. 16, was a lot about basketball and Kuzma’s “real, unconditional” love for the game. But, also what makes him who he is off the court.

The story highlighted Kuz’s authenticity, the deeply personal way he gives back, his interest in modern art, the way he expresses his personality through fashion, how he aims to live presently and strives to be continuously better in the different hats he wears.

The story was sprinkled with pics of Kuzma, throwing fits, from an abstract, geometric Hermès sweater to a leathery brown Prada jacket.

“Absolutely stunning 🔥 another one for the coffee table,” supermodel-entrepreneur Winnie Harlow commented on the carousel of photos from the shoot that the publication shared on Instagram. Harlow and Kuzma got engaged in February.

Speaking of Harlow, she got a shout-out in the story, too.

Here’s a look at the feature, plus where you can read the full story:

Kyle Kuzma has ‘never fallen out of love’ with basketball — even in the lows

Ever since Kuz was a kid, basketball was just in him and he knew it was his path, he told Harper’s Bazaar Singapore. He’s now in his ninth season in the NBA, which came after about 15 years of grinding since childhood, he said.

After playing college hoops and graduating from the University of Utah, the Brooklyn Nets picked Kuzma as the 27th overall pick in the first round of the 2017 NBA Draft. However, on draft day, he was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers. He was named to the All-Rookie Team and later won a championship in the 2020 “bubble” season with the Lakers.

In 2021, Kuzma was traded to the Washington Wizards. And, in February 2025, he was traded to the Bucks.

There’s a side to being a professional athlete that’s “invisible to most people”: Mornings when you can barely walk but have to train, the mental toll, the constant pressure to evolve and stay relevant, and so much work that’s done in silence, Kuzma said in the feature.

But, even in the lows, he told Harper’s, he’s “never fallen out of love” with the sport.

When it comes to basketball, he wants to enjoy it, have fun and be present rather than rushing through it or taking it for granted, he said.

“It’s a child’s game, even when it’s a business,” he told Harper’s. “And I think the older I get, the more I want to protect that part — the joy, the fun. I know there’s pressure. But I also know how lucky I am to still be doing this.”

Kyle Kuzma’s upbringing inspired him to help single moms and their kids

After growing up in a single-parent household and watching his mom do everything, Kuzma told Harper’s, he founded the Kyle Kuzma Foundation to help support single mothers and their children. He runs it with his mom, who’s the foundation’s president, and a team.

“You grow up fast. You learn resilience, sure, but you also carry trauma,” said Kuzma, who grew up in Flint, Michigan. “And now that I’m in a position where I can do something, I want to.”

While the foundation started small, the scope is bigger now, the feature said. Kuz and company are trying to figure out how they can help “more. Better. Deeper.”

Kyle Kuzma connects his style with his personality

“Style is like my personality turned outward,” Kuzma told Harper’s. It’s not about brands, but instead, about vibe, mood and dressing like yourself, he said.

While Kuzma always liked style, he said in the story, once he had the means to explore fashion properly around the time he entered the NBA, “it just clicked.”

The energy Kyle Kuzma shares with fiancée Winnie Harlow is his idea of home

Getting engaged to Harlow clarified Kuzma’s idea of home, the article said.

It’s not a house or a city, but rather, the energy between two people, as well as being safe and understood, he told Harper’s.

“That’s what I have with her,” he said.
