CAMDEN, N.J. – Joel Embiid is listed as doubtful for Wednesday’s game against Toronto, per the 76ers injury report Tuesday.
Embiid has played six of 13 games this season, last playing Nov. 8 against the Raptors. He was evaluated for soreness in his right knee, which is not the surgically repaired one.
“Joel’s still the same,” coach Nick Nurse said Tuesday at practice. “ … He was full participant today.”
Nurse said Monday that Embiid was, “not quite pain-free” but said that he doesn’t “think he’s far away from playing.”
Wednesday’s game is the first half of a back-to-back with a trip to Milwaukee.
The 76ers had no update on Kelly Oubre Jr. He remains out Wednesday with a left knee sprain, which the club said is to the lateral collateral ligament. Oubre had been playing some of the best basketball of his career, averaging 16.8 points and 5.1 rebounds in the first 12 games.
Adem Bona (ankle) remains out. Paul George, who made his season debut in Monday’s win over the Los Angeles Clippers, is out Wednesday as part of his left knee injury recovery.
That allows two days to recover for the Bucks trip, then two before Saturday’s home date with Miami.
