The Toronto Raptors (9-5) take on the Philadelphia 76ers (8-5) tonight at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philly.

Toronto enters on a four-game winning streak, though most of those victories came against the Eastern Conference’s bottom tier: Charlotte, Indiana, and Brooklyn.

Their lone difficult win in that stretch was against Cleveland, when Scottie Barnes, Jakob Poeltl, and Immanuel Quickley combined for 73 points. Normally, it’s the frontcourt trio of Barnes, RJ Barrett, and Brandon Ingram that drives the offense, each averaging around 20 points per game.

The Raptors’ defense has tightened throughout November, and Poeltl’s scoring has surged — up to 14.5 points per game this month after averaging just 6.5 in October.

Philadelphia, meanwhile, is 3-2 over its last five, with both losses coming against the surging Detroit Pistons. The Sixers beat Toronto 130-120 earlier this month, but tonight’s matchup should look different with Joel Embiid, Kelly Oubre Jr., Paul George, and Adem Bona all out. Andre Drummond is set for another heavy workload — his fifth straight game logging major minutes.

Tyrese Maxey, averaging 32.5 points per game, will carry the scoring load, but Philadelphia needs steadier production from Quentin Grimes (16.8 PPG) and rookie VJ Edgecombe (15.5 PPG) to keep pace. Without it, Toronto’s balance and depth give them the advantage.

Prediction

A tight game is expected given Toronto’s momentum and Philadelphia’s home-court edge. But with so many Sixers sidelined and the Raptors playing their best basketball of the season, Toronto holds the upper hand.

Prediction: Raptors 115, 76ers 112
