Should the Boston Celtics target Los Angeles Clippers big man Ivica Zubac for a trade? By now, it is the biggest open secret in the NBA that the Celtics need some additional heft in their frontcourt to return to contention no matter how well Neemias Queta does this season with Boston. And the team’s front office will have limited cap space and assets to work with to pull off such a move whether it is at the 2026 trade deadline or in the offseason after it.
They will need to find a ball club motivated to sell off parts given where they find themselves in terms of their contention cycle. And as one of the oldest (and most often injured) teams in the league, the Clippers could very well fit the bill by the time the season is in full swing — or perhaps once the offseason arrives with them in it early.
The hosts of the CLNS Media “Still Poddable” podcast, Brian Robb, Sam Packard, and Jay King, took some time on a recent episode of their show to talk it over. Check it out below!
