UPDATE: Onyeka Okongwu has returned to Thursday’s game.

Atlanta Hawks big man Onyeka Okongwu suffered a possible injury during Thursday’s game vs. the San Antonio Spurs.

During the second quarter, Okongwu left the game and headed back to the locker room. He’d been tangled up under the basket earlier in the contest and fell to the ground with another player landing on his leg, though he did seem to be fine at the time. If indeed injured, it could be related to that situation.

Onyeka Okongwu just walked back to the Hawks locker room. He took a spill earlier in the game and was down for a minute. He appeared to be walking fine on his way out to the back.

Okongwu played 13 minutes on Thursday, recording seven points, two rebounds and two assists. He shot 3-for-6 from the field and 1-for-3 on three-point attempts.

Kristaps Porzingis could see increased minutes in Okongwu’s absence, as could Mouhamed Gueye.
