It took a little longer than usual, but the Oklahoma City Thunder finally ran away on the scoreboard in a 113-99 win over the Sacramento Kings. Poor ball security and another ice-cold performance from the outside devolved what should’ve been a blowout into a semi-competitive contest.

But the game itself wasn’t really the biggest talking point. By now, everybody should know the Thunder are eons better than the Kings. Instead, most folks were mesmerized by OKC’s City Edition uniform and court.

The NBA went with a throwback theme for the 2025-26 City Edition uniforms. Every team had the chance to remix an old-school classic. For the Thunder, that was the Native American heritage jerseys they wore in the 2018-19 season. Ironically enough, with Russell Westbrook.

The alternate court was also beloved. It was half-and-half the modern-day court and the old-school court the Thunder used to play on. Everybody loved it. And so did the players. Here’s what they had to say about the City Edition uniform and court design:

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander

“I liked them. I liked it a lot. It’s fire.”

Ajay Mitchell

“I loved them. I feel like the court was really nice and the jerseys were awesome. Even last year, the black one was dope. This year, I really like it too. It’s a really cool jersey.”

Chet Holmgren

“Our City Edition court is sexy.”
