DALLAS — Watch the Dallas Mavericks vs. New Orleans at 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 21, on WFAA.

The Dallas Mavericks (4-12) will welcome the New Orleans Pelicans (2-13) for a 2025 NBA Cup group stage game on Friday night at the American Airlines Center. The Mavs will head into the game on the back of a narrow 113-111 loss to the New York Knicks, marking their second loss in a row.

The Pelicans, who are also struggling to survive the season, will enter tonight’s matchup on the back of a seven-game losing streak. The Pelicans are among the worst-performing teams of the season and are currently seeded at the bottom of the Western Conference. The Pelicans fired head coach Willie Green last week after a 2–10 start to his fifth season in charge. The Pelicans named top assistant James Borrego, a former Charlotte Hornets head coach, as interim coach.

The Mavs will have star rookie Cooper Flagg available for the game after missing Wednesday’s loss to the Knicks due to illness.
