Pelicans’ losing streak extends to eight games as Dallas beats New Orleans 118-115
WDSU.COM. NICE WARM, MILD, QUIET WEATHER CONDITIONS FOR SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA. SO IF YOU HAVE ANY EVENING PLANS FOR US ON THIS FRIDAY EVENING, TAKE ADVANTAGE OF IT. THINGS ARE LOOKING GOOD HERE, BUT JUST KEEP IN MIND WE MAY SEE A LITTLE BIT OF SOME PATCHY MORNING FOG FOR TOMORROW MORNING. FOR THOSE OF US THAT ARE OUT EARLY, OUT AND ABOUT HERE ON THE ROADWAYS. BUT OVERALL, HERE’S WHERE WE STAND ON THE BIGGER PICTURE. WE GOT THAT SOUTHEAST WIND COMING UP FROM THE GULF OR SOUTHERLY WIND RATHER COMING UP FROM THE GULF. AND THAT IS HELPING TO INCREASE THE WARM TEMPERATURES AND ALSO THE MOISTURE ACROSS SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA. A BIT OF A DISTURBANCE OUT AHEAD OF THIS FRONT. YOU CAN SEE SOME SHOWERS HERE TO THAT WARM, MOIST AIR, HELPING TO FEED SOME OF THOSE SPOTTY SHOWERS THAT SOME OF US SAW HERE TODAY. BUT THEY WERE VERY, VERY LIGHT. IN FACT, A LOT OF THIS WAS JUST DRIZZLE HERE THAT MOVED THROUGH PARTS OF THE NORTH SHORE DOWN TOWARDS LAKE PONTCHARTRAIN. AND NOW IT’S PUSHING ITS WAY EAST AND WEAKENING AT THE SAME TIME. LIKE I MENTIONED, WE COULD BE IN STORE FOR SOME PATCHY MORNING FOG EARLY TOMORROW MORNING BEFORE DISSIPATING AS WE HEAD TO ABOUT MID-MORNING OR SO AROUND 9 A.M. TEMPERATURE WISE RIGHT NOW, WE’RE CURRENTLY SITTING INTO THOSE LOW TO MID 70S, SO A PRETTY MILD EVENING TO SAY THE LEAST. BUT LOOK AT THE HIGHS TODAY IN NEW ORLEANS WE REACHED 85. WE’RE SUPPOSED TO BE AT 70. AND ALSO WE BROKE A RECORD HIGH TODAY. THE OLD RECORD WAS 83. THAT WAS SET BACK IN 1996. THE LOW WAS 71. AND KEEP IN MIND WE’RE SUPPOSED TO BE AT 52 DEGREES. THAT DID NOT HAPPEN HERE TODAY, BUT AT LEAST WE WERE NOWHERE NEAR THAT RECORD LOW OF 31 DEGREES, THOUGH HIGH TEMPERATURES TOMORROW AGAIN, VERY WARM. UPPER 70S TO LOWER 80S. AND IN FACT, WE COULD BE PRETTY CLOSE TO NEAR RECORD HIGHS. AGAIN. THE RECORD IS 86 AND THE FORECAST HIGH IS 83 DEGREES, SO WE MAY BE JUST A FEW DEGREES AWAY FROM AT LEAST TYING THAT RECORD HIGH ONCE AGAIN FOR TOMORROW. AND I DO EXPECT OUR HIGHS TO STAY AT LEAST INTO THOSE UPPER 70S TO LOWER 80S THROUGH TUESDAY. AND THEN YOU CAN SEE A BIT OF A COOLDOWN, ESPECIALLY THURSDAY AND AGAIN ON FRIDAY. THAT’S FROM A PRETTY STRONG COLD FRONT MOVING IN, BUT FOR TOMORROW, JUST A LITTLE BIT ON THE STICKY SIDE. AS FAR AS THE HUMIDITY LEVELS GO, BUT MUCH DRIER ON SUNDAY, PLEASANT ON MONDAY. AND THEN WE’RE LOOKING AT TUESDAY BEING A LITTLE BIT MORE ON THE HUMID SIDE. THAT COULD BE A LITTLE BIT MORE ON THE STICKY SCALE HERE WITH THE MOISTURE MOVING IN, AND YOU CAN SEE JUST A COUPLE OF CLOUDS AS WE GO THROUGHOUT THE REST OF THE EVENING. I THINK WE’LL BE OKAY. NO, DON’T SEE ANY MORE RAINFALL COVERAGE. MAYBE WE COULD SEE THAT AGAIN AS WE HEAD INTO TOMORROW AFTER WE GET THROUGH WHAT COULD BE SOME FOG. AND WE START OFF THE AFTERNOON WITH MOSTLY SUNNY SKIES, BUT THERE YOU CAN SEE SOME RAIN SHOWERS DEVELOPING TOWARDS THE SOUTH SHORE. THAT IS, FROM THAT FRONT THAT’S MOVING THROUGH HERE, WHICH I’LL SHOW YOU HERE IN A SECOND. BUT TOMORROW NIGHT WE SHOULD BE OKAY. WE SHOULD BE LOOKING AT SOME INCREASING CLOUDS, THOUGH, BEGINNING TO DEVELOP AND SPREAD ACROSS SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA. AND THAT’S EXPECTED TO HAPPEN ON SUNDAY. SO RAINFALL CHANCES LOOKING AT ZERO SUNDAY AND MONDAY, WE INCREASE THOSE CHANCES, HOWEVER, TO TUESDAY. NOT BAD NEWS. WE NEED THE RAIN. SOUTHEAST LOUISIANA UNDER THAT MODERATE DROUGHT. THERE’S THAT FIRST FRONT MOVING THROUGH FOR TOMORROW. HIGH PRESSURE BUILDING IN BEHIND IT, KEEPING US QUIET. THERE’S ANOTHER COLD FRONT MOVING IN FROM THE WEST AS WE HEAD INTO EARLY NEXT WEEK. AND THAT FRONT OUT AHEAD OF IT COULD BRING US A SLIGHT CHANCE OF A SHOWER OR THUNDERSTORM HEADING INTO NEXT WEEK AS WELL. BUT BEHIND IT, MUCH COLDER AIR IS MOVING THROUGH. THAT’S WHY OUR TEMPERATURES ARE REALLY DROPPING LATER NEXT WEEK, JUST IN TIME FOR THANKSGIVING. TROPICS. EVERYTHING IS QUIET. THERE’S NO DEVELOPMENT EXPECTED ANYWHERE OVER THE NEXT SEVEN DAYS. AND THAT’S A LOOK AT YOUR WDSU FIRST WARNING, SEV
