The Detroit Pistons (13-2) visit the Milwaukee Bucks (8-8) tonight for a Saturday night matchup at the Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee.
Detroit enters riding an 11-game winning streak and holding the top spot in the Eastern Conference. The Pistons are well-rested after last playing on Tuesday, finishing a back-to-back with a 120–112 win over the Atlanta Hawks — another team off to a strong start.
As usual, Cade Cunningham and Jalen Duren set the tone, scoring 25 and 24 points. Detroit shot 54% from the field and converted 30 points off turnovers, a snapshot of the two-way efficiency that has fueled their early-season surge.
The Pistons come in 14th in scoring at 118.9 points per game and own the league’s second-best defensive rating. Their success hasn’t come from blowouts as much as from a steady diet of disciplined defense paired with reliable, balanced offense.
Milwaukee, meanwhile, has dropped three straight with Giannis Antetokounmpo sidelined. It’s been a difficult stretch of opponents, but the Bucks simply can’t replicate the interior force and all-around production Giannis provides — 31.2 points, 10.8 rebounds, and 6.8 assists per game.
Ryan Rollins continues his inspired play this season, averaging 18.3 points and 5.9 assists per game — and will remain their mainstay without Giannis.
Prediction
With their health, form, and elite defensive consistency, Detroit is well-positioned to extend its winning streak.
Prediction: Pistons 121, Bucks 110
