The Dallas Mavericks (5-12) host the Memphis Grizzlies (5-11) on Saturday night. Dallas won last night against the New Orleans Pelicans (also part of the NBA Cup somehow!). Memphis has had a day off after walloping the Sacramento Kings on Thursday night.

Here’s the main things you need to know before the game kicks off.

The injury report for the Dallas Mavericks is mostly the same as last night: Kyrie Irving, Dante Exum, and Anthony Davis are all out. Dereck Lively is an add from last night with whatever is wrong with his knee. D’Angelo Russell is questionable again with an illness. The Memphis Grizzlies are a mess too, with Ja Morant, Brandon Clarke, Ty Jerome, and Scotty Pippin Jr. out. Jaren Jackson Jr. is doubtful which means he isn’t playing.

Check the schedule if you haven’t: things get weird for the Mavericks in a hurry after this home game. Lots and lots of road games in their future (really, they play 19 of 32 from Feb 1 on the road if I remember right). There’s a good post up about Cooper Flagg and his clutch time stats you should go read.

See everyone after the game.

As you can tell below, you can join me in a room on Playback (embed below) during the game (though I may not be able to start it until halftime). Also consider joining Josh and I on Pod Maverick live after the game on YouTube, we should start around 10:15 pm. Thanks so much for spending time with us here at Mavs Moneyball. Let’s go Mavs!
