The Milwaukee Bucks have a big decision to make over the future of star player Giannis Antetokounmpo.

Ever since their inspired decision to draft Giannis Antetokounmpo in 2013, the Milwaukee Bucks have enjoyed the superstar’s rise to become one of the best players in the league.

Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks to win the NBA Championship in 2021, but they have not come close to repeating since.

There has been a lot of bad luck involved due to injuries, while the swings the Bucks have made with trades have not paid off.

Damian Lillard is now out with an Achilles injury and slated to miss all of next season, and after another first round playoff exit, the future looks grim for Giannis in terms of contention if he stays in Milwaukee.

This all means that right now teams across the league are looking towards the Bucks to see if there is a chance to acquire the superstar.

There are four teams with a haul of draft picks or assets who could really put together a huge package to trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo.

These are the Oklahoma City Thunder, Houston Rockets, Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs.

Another team being tipped to make a move are the Cleveland Cavaliers, who hit a wall in the playoffs with a 4-1 series exit to the Indiana Pacers.

Speaking on his podcast, Bill Simmons believes the Cavaliers could be a rare team to propose a one-for-one straight up trade for Giannis.

He believes both teams would accept and benefit from a direct player trade with Evan Mobley.

Simmons said: “I think it’s a great trade. Giannis is a better player but Mobley is six and a half years younger.

“I think it’s a really fair trade. That trade makes a lot of sense to me, I know they love Mobley there.”

‘Giannis would trade make Cavaliers favorites in the East’

Evan Mobley is the Defensive Player of the Year and was a key part of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ successful regular season, where they won 64 games.

Evan Mobley averaged 18.5 points per game last season and 9.3 rebounds, shooting an impressive 55.7 percent alongside his defensive contribution.

Still only 23-years-old, he could be an attractive player for the Bucks to build around for the future.

However, Simmons argues that taking Mobley out and adding in Giannis Antetokounmpo would make the Cavaliers the top contenders in a weakened Eastern Conference, with the Boston Celtics destabilized by an injury to Jayson Tatum.

He said: “You could have a team that has Donovan Mitchell, Darius Garland and Giannis on it, in a weakened East, and I think you’re immediately the favorites in the East.”
