The Oklahoma City Thunder will host the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. It’s the season’s second matchup between the squads. OKC suffered its only loss of the season against them on Nov. 5.

The Thunder (16-1) have won eight in a row in their historic start. After trailing by 18 points, they destroyed the Utah Jazz in a 144-112 win on Friday that also counted towards the 2025 NBA Cup. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander had 31 points and eight assists in three quarters.

Meanwhile, the Trail Blazers (7-9) have hit a slump. They snapped out of it in a 127-123 win over the Golden State Warriors on Friday. Deni Avdija stepped up with 26 points and 13 assists. Caleb Love had a surprising 26 points off the bench.

Thunder 115, Trail Blazers 101: This will be revenge time for the Thunder. The Trail Blazers are the ones behind 16-1. Dealing with a depleted OKC squad, the reigning NBA champion slowly lost a 22-point lead. Now, it’ll get a chance to right that with better health. Gilgeous-Alexander and Holmgren should put up monster numbers. Meanwhile, Portland has been hit hard with injuries. Holiday and Sharpe are out. That torpedoed their chances of another upset. This should be another win for the Thunder, as they continue to be a win machine.

ODDS: Thunder by 15.5 points
