The Portland Trail Blazers (7-10) end a 3-game road trip by visiting the Milwaukee Bucks (8-9) Monday. Tip-off from Fiserv Forum in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, is set for 8 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Trail Blazers vs. Bucks odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.

2024-25 season series: Milwaukee won 2-0

Portland was dominated 122-95 by the Oklahoma City Thunder Sunday while failing to cover as a 16.5-point road favorite as the Under (233.5) cashed. F Jerami Grant put up 21 points, but only 2 other Blazers even reached double figures as they were totally shut down by OKC’s defense. The Thunder dominated 58-40 in points in the paint and 28-11 in points off turnovers.

Milwaukee lost 129-116 to the Detroit Pistons Saturday while failing to cover as an 8-point home underdog as the Over (226) hit. The Bucks were outscored 56-42 in the paint and 30-14 in points off turnovers. The Bucks have lost 4 straight and will continue to be without star F Giannis Antetokounmpo for at least another week.

Trail Blazers at Bucks picks and predictionsPrediction

Trail Blazers 127, Bucks 114

BET TRAIL BLAZERS (+105).

The Bucks are not the same team on either side of the ball without Giannis, and with Portland coming off a blowout loss, the Blazers know they have to take advantage and beat this Milwaukee team. Look for this banged-up Blazers squad to force turnovers that lead to easy offense and make up for Portland’s very underwhelming defense.

PASS.

You get a better value on the Blazers on the ML, but if you feel a need for a little insurance the Blazers +1.5 (-110) is playable. But no need to play both.

LEAN OVER 234.5 (-115).

In the 2 games that Giannis has missed, the Bucks have given up over 123 points in both, and that’s a trend that I suspect will continue for this Milwaukee defense that wasn’t even great with Giannis. The Blazers will find some easy success offensively thanks to turnovers and wasted possessions they force out of Milwaukee here, supplementing the injuries to some key offensive pieces for Portland.

This is a lean because the Under is 4-1 in the last 5 matchups between these squads.
