NBA Western Conference powers square off Friday night in Houston, where Kevin Durant and the Rockets are set to host Nikola Jokic and the Denver Nuggets. The game is scheduled to start at 9:30 p.m. ET (8:30 p.m. CT) with streaming exclusively on Amazon Prime.

Jokic is doing Jokic things during the team’s 11-3 start, which includes wins in seven of its past eight games, with an early pace to average a triple-double for the second straight season. Jokic is shooting a career-best 64.1% while averaging 29.1 points, 13.2 rebounds and 11.1 assists to help position the Nuggets as a Western Conference threat once again. Denver resides in second place in the Northwest Division behind the defending NBA champion Oklahoma City Thunder (15-1) and owns the West’s second-best record overall, just ahead of the Rockets (10-3), Los Angeles Lakers (11-4) and San Antonio Spurs (11-4).

Houston is on a run of five straight victories and has won 10 of its past 11 to surge into the top spot in the Southwest Division. The Rockets have a talented, versatile big man of their own in 23-year-old Alperen Sengun, who is in the midst of his best pro season with 23.4 points, 10.4 rebounds and 7.4 assists per night and a jump in his production from 3-point range. He and Durant, who signed as a free agent in the offseason, comprise a lengthy duo of scoring efficiency to drive Houston’s NBA title chances. The Rockets average 123.9 points per game, which ranks second in the NBA only to the Nuggets (124.6).
