Donovan Mitchell shines as Eastern Conference Player of the Week, leading the Cavaliers with stellar performances and career-best stats.

CLEVELAND — Cavaliers guard Donovan Mitchell has been named Eastern Conference Player of the Week following a stellar stretch of games that saw the six-time All-Star showcase his dominance on the court.

Mitchell averaged 31.8 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.0 assists, and 1.3 steals per game across the last four contests while shooting 56.6% from the field and 43.2% from 3-point range. The Cavs won three out of those four matchups, with Mitchell scoring at least 30 points in all of those victories.

So far during the 2025-26 season, Mitchell is setting career-best numbers with 30.8 points per game, a 51.5% field-goal percentage, and a 39.3% 3-point mark. He’s also one of just four NBA players currently averaging 30.0 points, 5.0 rebounds, and 5.0 assists per matchup, joining Los Angeles Lakers star Luka Dončić as well as former MVPs Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokić.

This is Mitchell’s ninth career Conference Player of the Week award and his sixth since joining the Cavaliers in 2022. Only LeBron James (42) has more such honors while wearing a Cleveland uniform.
