The Detroit Pistons, a team you enjoy quite a bit in particular.
Franchise record: 13 straight wins right now.
Overall this season: 8th in offense, 2nd in defense, 5th in net rating for cleaning glass.
That’s removing garbage time.
But we have talked quite a bit about how good Cade Cunningham has been great this season, and how good Jalen Duran has beengood Lord, What a leap it’s been for him on both ends of the floor.
But I just want to quickly hit on the role that guys have stepped up in.
Dennis Jenkins has brought me so much joy.
The blend of shot-making and playmaking from him Has helped keep his Detroit offense afloat, just taking charge of the offense.

His craft inside the arc pops.
Again, the three-point shot making has been There for him.
He has made some really fun passes and shots.
Fun passes on film.
14.8 points, 6.8 assists, just over one steal per game during the six-game streak.
Just want to shout him out very quickly.
Do you have a stronger belief in the Pistons at this point?
Is this just the best team in the East?
I mean, I don’t think it matters how much my belief is.
It matters how strong their belief is.
And every time you see them play, You see that kind of just leak out.
I think the, The 13-game win streak, this being the franchise record streak or tying it, is pretty Amazing.

Youve got to think about that.
Two years ago, they were building one of the longest losing streaks we’ve ever seen in Life.
And I believe almost two years to the day, They lost in that same building in Indiana, and now they’re tying the streak there.
It’s pretty interesting.
But I think the mindset is what stands out Me.
Cade, after that Indiana win, saying, Hey, we Just wanna be the best versions of ourselves.
And tonight was not the best of us, So I’m not happy about that.
OK, this is interesting.
J.B. Bickerstaff is saying, Hey, defense is our identity.
We need to hammer that home.
We can’t let up.
The mindset must be: we can’t ever feel full.

Or satisfied.
You see that when you watch them play.
And now you understand how things are kind of piecing together.
And so this is a team that has buy-in, that has belief, and they have accountability.
When the players are doing that, the team can go to all sorts of places you may not have Thought of.
So, that balancebeing able to do that.
Consistently, I think that’s where it gets fun.
