The Atlanta Hawks (11–7) visit the Washington Wizards (1–15) tonight, drawing the NBA’s only one-win team for a Tuesday matchup in D.C.

The Hawks have been resilient, if not better, without Trae Young, going 10–4 since his knee injury.

Their success has come from depth and balance: seven different players have led the team in scoring during this stretch, from Kristaps Porzingis — who doesn’t suit up every night — to sixth-year big Onyeka Okongwu.

In all, seven Hawks average double figures, with Jalen Johnson at 22.4 PPG, Nickeil Alexander-Walker at 19.3 PPG, and Okongwu at 16.2 PPG. They play the most democratic offense in the league, leading the NBA with 30.4 assists per game, and their ball movement fuels consistent scoring.

Combined with an above-average defense, that depth is why Atlanta looks like a real Eastern Conference contender.

Washington, meanwhile, is nowhere close. The Wizards own the league’s worst defense, giving up a staggering 129.1 points per game and already surrendering 140+ twice.

Their offense also lacks top-tier punch: Alex Sarr leads with 18.1 PPG, followed by Kyshawn George and veteran CJ McCollum at 16.5 PPG each. Solid Sixth Man-type production, but not No. 1-option caliber. It’s clear the Wizards once again are headed toward another lottery.

Prediction

This is a question not of “if,” but of “by how much.” Expect the Hawks to push above the 130-point mark while keeping the Wizards to below 110.

Prediction: Hawks 131, Wizards 108
