The G League’s OKC Blue had a 114-84 win over the Memphis Hustle on Tuesday. The home victory improved OKC’s record to 4-4 in the regular season.
Early on, the Blue fell behind. They were in a 29-23 deficit after the first quarter. Going back and forth for a bit, OKC took control of the contest with a strong finish over Memphis. It scored 19 straight points in the final five minutes before the break to retake the lead.
The Blue scored 36 points in the second quarter. They entered halftime with a 59-43 lead over the Hustle. The run continued after the break as OKC scored 27 consecutive points to put this one away. They scored 32 points in the third frame to balloon a 91-60 lead.
As both sides cleared their bench, the Blue scored 23 points in the fourth quarter. They led by as many as 35 points throughout the lopsided game.
The Blue shot 53% from the field and went 10-of-30 (33.3%) from 3. They shot 14-of-15 on free throws. They had 25 assists on 40 baskets. Seven Blue players scored double-digit points.
Meanwhile, the Hustle shot 36% from the field and went 9-of-37 (24.3%) from 3. They shot 8-of-13 on free throws. They had 17 assists on 31 baskets. Three Hustle players scored double-digit points.
