Raptors

Brandon Ingram delivered again. The Raptors forward hit a game-winner to beat the Pacers and push Toronto’s winning streak to nine.

Ingram and Scottie Barnes carried the night. They combined for 50 of the Raptors’ 97 points and 18 of their 48 rebounds. They also went 19-of-27 from the line and made every big play in the fourth.

Barnes set a personal milestone. He was 14-of-14 at the stripe, his most free throws made in a game without a miss.

NBA reporter Keerthika Uthayakumar noted that Ingram’s shot was his fourth career go-ahead bucket in the final three seconds. It is only the third time a Raptor has done it since Kawhi Leonard in 2019.

Thunder

Oklahoma City just keeps stacking wins. Brandon Rahbar of Daily Thunder pointed out that the Thunder are now 18-1, have won 10 straight, are 9-0 at home and 3-0 in NBA Cup play.

Shai Gilgeous-Alexander put up another star night with 40 points, six rebounds, six assists and three steals.

Chet Holmgren added 12 points, nine boards and a big late three. Isaiah Hartenstein scored 15. Ajay Mitchell chipped in 13.

Next up is a home NBA Cup matchup with the Suns on Friday, a game that will decide Group 1.

Heat

Erik Spoelstra hit another milestone Wednesday. Miami’s win over Milwaukee was his 800th career victory as a head coach.

Anthony Chiang of the Miami Herald reported that Spoelstra had no idea until the team ambushed him with the traditional water celebration.

“I was calculating that maybe we qualified for the Cup,” Spoelstra said. “Then I’m looking around like nobody else is getting water dumped on them. I’m like, man, what’s going on here?”
