What are 25 Miami Heat-related things to be thankful for?! (Mandatory Credit: Mitchell Leff/Getty Images)
Happy Thanksgiving to all of those who celebrate! This is a time for gratitude, togetherness and appreciation for everything we have. Since we are in 2025, what are 25 things — related to the Miami Heat — that I am thankful for?! Here is my list!
1. Pat Riley instilling #HEATCultureâ„¢
Say what you want about Riley’s shortcomings the last few years, but without him laying the bedrock as the culture bearer, this franchise would be a nothingburger.
2. Erik Spoelstra
He’s the best coach in the NBA, and any team would kill to have him in their building. Instead, he’s ours.
3. Dwyane Wade
You thought I wasn’t going to put Wade at No. 3? You’re crazy.
4. Bam Adebayo
A generational defender and is tasked to do more than 95 percent of big men across the NBA.
5. Norman Powell trade
An absolute fleece … so far. Where would they be without it?!
6. Kel’el Ware’s development
He didn’t have the best game on Wednesday, but Ware is in the midst of a monstrous second season. He’s stacking days!
7. Jimmy Butler trade
Ultimately, they got Davion Mitchell, Andrew Wiggins and Kasparas Jakucionis while flipping Kyle Anderson (and Kevin Love) for Powell. It’s worked out quite well for the Heat, all things considered.

8. Tyler Herro
Polarizing, but Herro’s turned himself into an All-Star talent and arguably the team’s best offensive player.
9. Miami’s current six-game win streak
Heat have had just five six-game win streaks since the 2017-18 season. It obviously won’t last forever, but appreciate them!
10. Andy Elisburg
Elisburg is a wizard with the calculator as the Heat’s cap/CBA guru. A brilliant general manager worth mentioning.
11. The Heat’s three championships
Banners, baby!!!!
12. Miami’s 27-game win streak in 2012-13
Fun times, wasn’t it?!
13. Heat’s start to 2025-26
Who expected the Heat to be 13-6 after 19 games, without Herro for all but two games, while playing one of the league’s hardest schedules?! Not me!
14. Jimmy Butler’s time with Heat
The end was aggravating, and it was best for both sides to move on when they did. But Butler’s five-and-a-half years will be ones that I will never forget and will always appreciate, all things considered.
15. Dwyane Wade, again
Wade is the greatest player in franchise history and one of the best two-way guards ever. He helped put this franchise on the map.
16. The Big Three era
Wade, LeBron James and Chris Bosh — the unquestioned best era in franchise history. Very fun times.
17. Heat’s player development
Shoutout, Remy Ndiaye and the rest of the Heat’s developmental staff. They have one of the best developmental programs, not only in the NBA, but in professional sports.

18. Adam Simon
Simon is one of the league’s best talent evaluators, point blank. He nails the draft.
19. Udonis Haslem
THE OG!!!!!!! One of the most influential figures in South Florida sports history.
20. Norman Powell
Where would the Heat be without him right now?!
21. Miami vice courts/jerseys
Arguably the best alternate jerseys in the NBA. I’m not one for fashion, but every rendition is exceptionally clean.
22. Davion Mitchell
Made to be a Miami Heat player.
23. Noah LaRoche
LaRoche may not be a full-time employee (consultant), but his fast-paced, free-flowing offenses has been outstanding.
24. Jaime Jaquez Jr.’s breakout
Not all growth is linear, and Jaquez’s breakout season is a prime example of that.
25. Erik Spoelstra’s family is okay after fire
What happened with Spoelstra’s house is incredibly sad. But what we can all be thankful for is our families. And I’m thankful that Spoelstra is OK. You can’t replace people and the time spent with others. You won’t ever make the same memory twice.
We love y’all! Whether this is the first HHH article you’ve ever read, or your 1,000th, this wouldn’t be possible without every one of you.
I hope you all have a very Happy Thanksgiving! What 25 Miami Heat-related things are you thankful for?! Let us know in the comments!
