Surrounded by a slew of new teammates, Caitlin Clark picked up right where she left off last season in the Indiana Fever’s 93-58 win over the Chicago Sky this past weekend.
She finished the game with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists, which gave her triple-double No. 3 in her career. A mark that moved her past Candace Parker for third all-time in league history.

In addition to a great showing on the court, Clark also got multiple shot outs off of it from Los Angeles Lakers star, LeBron James. While speaking to the media on Monday about James, Clark revealed that she was not only starstruck by his support, but that he is her favorite player of all-time.
“That’s like one of my idols,” Clark said of James. “LeBron is the GOAT to me. So…It was just like a crazy moment where I got to meet him in the back. For him to go out of his way and like wish me luck on the season…He really does follow the WNBA and he watches…He loves and appreciates basketball. He loves and appreciates the way the Fever and my teammates play.
“It’s just really cool,” Clark added. “I saw that…I didn’t see it before the game but obviously a lot of people had sent it to me after the game. I was like ‘oh my gosh.’ I thought it was kind of fake at first but he’s my favorite player of all time.”

“Good luck and DO YOU per usual this season!!! @caitlinclark22 🙏🏾💪🏾🫡👑,” wrote the four-time NBA MVP.
He also took to X after the win to congratulate her on the win and the triple-double.
Both James and Clark are Nike athletes, and were each viewed as generational talents when they were drafted first overall in their respective leagues. While Clark seems to be doing just fine on navigating her otherworldly fame, clearly James is in her corner and isn’t a bad resource to use by any means.
She will return to action on Tuesday as the Fever are set to host the Atlanta Dream.
