The Memphis Grizzlies (7-12) face the LA Clippers (5-13) in NBA Cup group play Friday. Tip-off from Intuit Dome in Inglewood, California, is set for 10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s NBA odds around the Grizzlies vs. Clippers odds and make our expert NBA picks and predictions for the best bets.
2024-25 series record: Clippers won 3-0
The Grizzlies prevailed as 3.5-point road favorites in a 133-128 win at the New Orleans Pelicans Wednesday. Despite being without their best player, G Ja Morant (calf), they have won 3 of 4. F Jaren Jackson Jr. stepped up with 27 points on 5-for-11 shooting from downtown. C Zach Edey is developing into a threat with 21 points, 15 boards and 2 blocks.
The Clippers return home after a 2-5 road trip with the latest a 135-118 defeat against the Los Angeles Lakers Tuesday. They were 5.5-point dogs in that one. G James Harden had 29 points and 9 assists. F Kawhi Leonard had 19 points. While Leonard was just 1-for-5 from downtown in that one, he’s averaging 2.3 made 3-pointers per game through 8 games, which would be a career high.

Grizzlies at Clippers picks and predictionsPrediction
Clippers 124, Grizzlies 115
The Grizzlies are too short-handed without Morant, and C Ivica Zubac should be able to limit Edey’s impact underneath. The Clippers should get right at home, but they’re way too expensive to consider.
Instead, go with JAMES HARDEN OVER 8.5 ASSISTS (-115). He’s averaging 9.6 assists per game at home.
I’ll take the CLIPPERS -6.5 (-105). Their ATS record is bad, but they are finally at full strength with Leonard missing nearly a month of action. After a long road trip, they’ll put the pedal to the metal.
The Grizzlies are 3-7 O/U in their last 10, but they’ve cashed 2 straight Overs and allowed 125+ in both. The Clippers are 11-7 O/U on the season.
Give me OVER 224.5 (-110).
