It makes sense for a superstar player like Luka Dončić to possess expensive properties like houses and cars.

However, Dončić still made waves on social media as he drove off in his $5 million Bugatti following the Los Angeles Lakers’ NBA Cup matchup against the Dallas Mavericks on Friday night.

Luka Dončić’s Bugatti Went Viral After the Lakers-Mavs Game

Dončić was active in filling up the stat sheet in the Lakers’ win over the Mavericks. In 40 minutes of action, he finished with a stat line of 35 points, 11 assists, five rebounds, and a block. He shot 10-of-18 from the field, including 4-of-9 from beyond the arc, and 11-of-11 from the free-throw line.

It marked the third time Dončić faced the Mavericks following the groundbreaking trade last season that saw him go from Dallas to Los Angeles. His return game to Dallas that campaign garnered plenty of attention as he dropped 45 points in that contest, a type of dominance that remained the same in this latest matchup.

Dončić stands out with one of the biggest contracts in the NBA, having signed a huge extension this past offseason to remain with the Lakers for the long term. So it made plenty of sense for him to drive out of Crypto.com Arena in his Bugatti Mistral, as a TikTok video showed that night.

The Bugatti Mistral boasts a price tag of $5 million, one of the most expensive vehicles in the world. On top of the product having a limited quantity, it’s clear that Doncic highly valued the property as he purchased it with his immense wealth as a basketball superstar.

What’s Next on Schedule for Dončić and Lakers?

Dončić will continue to enjoy his luxuries as one of the richest players in the NBA. In the meantime, he will look to help the Lakers continue their remarkable start in the 2025-26 campaign.

Los Angeles has a 14-4 record on the season, holding the second spot in the Western Conference standings. They are one game above the Denver Nuggets and San Antonio Spurs while trailing the Oklahoma City Thunder by four games.

Dončić has played a major role in the team’s early success, inserting himself into the early MVP conversation. After 14 games, he is averaging 35.1 points, 9.4 assists, and 8.5 rebounds per game. He is shooting 47.5% overall, including 34% from downtown, and 80.2% from the charity stripe.

The Lakers will continue preparation for their upcoming matchup, being at home. They host the New Orleans Pelicans on Nov. 30 at 9:30 p.m. ET. After that, they face the Phoenix Suns on Dec. 1 at 10 p.m. ET.
