(KTXL) – The NBA Draft is five weeks away, and the expectation is the Dallas Mavericks will select Duke’s Cooper Flagg with the No. 1 pick.

But what will happen after that?

Now that the NBA Combine is over, on Monday ESPN writers Jonathan Givony and Jeremy Woo released a mock draft for all 59 picks. They project two Sacramento-area players to be selected in the second round: Miles Byrd and Darrion Williams.

Byrd, out of San Diego State, is a Stockton native (Lincoln HS). He averaged 12.3 ppg for the Aztecs this season as a sophomore, playing in 30 games.

Williams, out of Texas Tech, began his high school career at Capital Christian (now Destiny Christian). He averaged 15.1 ppg for the Red Raiders this season, helping them advance to the Elite 8. He led the team in scoring in two of the four NCAA Tournament games they played.

The Sacramento Kings have the No. 42 pick in the 2025 NBA Draft, and Givony and Woo project that the Kings will select Bogoljub Markovic, a forward/center from Serbia.
